Showers were created by God. The common waterfall was the first natural shower used by humans. It rinses the bather from head to toe, providing an efficient way to bathe.
Humans drew inspiration from nature to design indoor showers. A room is built specifically for showering, called a wet room. While on the road, this becomes an important space in the house.

We see people equipping their bathrooms with quality shower heads, soap and toothbrush holders and elegant faucets that bring a modern feel to the bathroom. However, most people don't understand the importance of keeping the bathroom dry and don't pay much attention to the shower room.

What are the benefits of using a shower room?
The shower room separates the wet and dry areas. The shower room surrounds the shower area and is equipped with railings or curtain rods that are fixed to the ceiling or wall. In Western countries, people always want their bathrooms to stay dry. Therefore, the shower room is an essential bathroom equipment.

The main uses of shower rooms are:

provide privacy
Prevent water from overflowing the bathing area
It makes the space more organized
Another benefit of a shower enclosure is that it traps steam within the enclosure and creates a warm climate while showering.

Types of Shower Doors – Sliding vs. Hinged Doors; Framed vs. Frameless
There are different options when it comes to choosing the right shower door for your bathroom. Sliding shower doors move from side to side, while hinged shower doors swing open on their hinges.

Sliding shower doors are ideal for saving space in small bathrooms. They can be composed of 2 or 3 panels. However, maintaining and cleaning slide rails can be more difficult. Sliding doors may also become stuck or the tracks may be bent.
Hinged shower doors provide a larger opening to wet areas and are ideal for large bathrooms. However, the hinges may rust and water may leak from the shower door. Shower doors can also be framed or frameless.
Frameless shower doors are more elegant and have a clean, upscale appearance. Most modern homes opt for the frameless option. They are also easier to maintain. However, they cost more compared to framed options.
Framed shower doors are cheaper and easier to install. Over time, the frame may corrode.
Doors are usually made of glass and its variations such as clear glass, frosted glass, tinted glass, etc. Other variations include Plexiglas. The frame usually uses aluminum.

4 shower room shapes
Shape and size play a vital role when choosing a shower enclosure. There are four types of shower rooms on the market: square, rectangular, semi-oval and semi-circular. Depending on the space available, you can choose a suitable shower room. Let's take a closer look at each shower enclosure.

1) Square shower room
The four sides of a square shower enclosure are the same length. This type of shower enclosure will help you save space as it can be installed very easily and simply on a wall or corner. The main material for a square shower room is glass, as it allows for a view of the outside and gives the illusion of a larger space.

2. Rectangular shower room
Rectangular shower enclosures are longer than square shower enclosures and provide more space for the user. This type of shower enclosure is ideal for irregularly shaped spaces that are not exactly square. It clearly has longer side walls and shorter end walls.

3. Semi-oval/quadrant shower room
Semi-oval shower enclosures are often referred to as quadrant shower enclosures. It has two ends like a square shower enclosure. The middle of the semi-oval shower enclosure is straight on one side and curved on the other. Place the straight side against the wall and the curved side facing out toward the bathroom. This maximizes space compared to square and rectangular shower enclosures.

4. Semicircular shower room
A semi-circular steam shower enclosure is straight on one side and curved on the other sides. This is a favorite among consumers because it is sleeker and more modern than other types of cases. However, this takes up more space. Installation of this housing is also a bit complicated. This is also expensive compared to other options.
Any of the above enclosures can be installed in your existing bathroom when you are trying to redesign or renovate. It is very easy to install a shower enclosure even in an existing bathroom and enhance the look of the bathroom.
