TEMPERED SAFETY GLASS

SanchBathroom is a China-based shower door manufacturer and supplier working with distributors, wholesalers, importers, hotel groups and bathroom retailers in more than 35 countries. We have been producing and exporting bathroom products since 2006, and shower doors are one of our core categories — supplied both as standalone doors for the after-sales and replacement market, and as door systems for our own shower enclosure and shower cabin programmes.

Our range covers all four mainstream opening mechanisms: pivot shower doors, sliding shower doors, hinged shower doors and bifold shower doors, in framed, semi-frameless and frameless constructions. Glass is available in 5mm, 6mm and 8mm tempered safety glass, with clear, tinted and easy-clean coated options; hardware finishes include polished chrome, stainless steel, matt black and brushed tones. Selected sliding models are available with soft-close roller systems and frameless bypass configurations for wider openings.

Whether you need a container of standard doors for a retail programme, custom-size doors for a renovation chain, or a private-label shower door line under your own brand, our production team, in-house glass processing lines and export department are set up to handle it. This page explains what we make, how the opening mechanisms differ, how to choose the right configuration for your market, and how ordering works — so you can evaluate us as a supplier without a lengthy back-and-forth.

Why Distributors and Wholesalers Choose SANCH as Their Shower Door Supplier

Sourcing a shower door supplier is rarely just about price. Doors are the moving part of a shower enclosure: rollers wear, hinges sag, seals age, and every one of those failures becomes a warranty claim or a bad review for the seller. The suppliers that keep wholesale accounts for years are the ones whose hardware survives daily use. Here is what we bring to that equation:

Manufacturing depth in the right category
We have been producing and exporting bathroom products since 2006, with shower doors, shower enclosures, shower cabins and bath screens all made in the same facility. Shared glass processing, shared hardware sourcing and shared quality standards mean your doors match the rest of your shower range instead of arriving with three different tolerances.
Production scale and process control
Our factory in Hangzhou covers 15,000 m² and employs 50+ people, with in-house glass cutting, edge polishing, drilling, tempering and oven lines. Because tempering happens on site, we control glass quality and lead time instead of waiting on an outside processor.
Quality management built around export requirements
Glass is produced to comply with EN 12150 for thermally toughened safety glass, and our door systems are manufactured to comply with EN 14428:2015+A1:2018. We can supply test reports and glass specification sheets with shipments, and we work with buyers who need CE marking documentation for European markets or ANSI Z97.1 / AS/NZS 2208 alignment for North American and Oceanian markets.
Hardware tested for cycle life
Rollers, hinges and handles are cycle-tested before a model enters the catalogue — a door is opened and closed thousands of times over its life, and we treat that as a specification, not an assumption.
Responsive communication
Inquiries are answered within 24 hours on business days. Each account is handled by a dedicated contact who knows your specifications, packaging requirements and previous orders — not a shared inbox.
Reliable container schedules
Standard products ship within 30 days, and we consolidate monthly container shipments so repeat wholesale orders stay on schedule.
OEM/ODM flexibility
Custom dimensions, custom glass patterns, custom hardware finishes, private moulds and branded packaging are all available for buyers building a differentiated shower door line.

Shower Door Types: Pivot, Sliding, Hinged and Bifold Explained

The opening mechanism is the first decision in any shower door specification, because it determines the footprint the door needs, the width of opening it can serve and the price band it lands in. These are the four configurations we manufacture, and where each one fits:

MECHANISM 01
Pivot shower doors
The door rotates on two pivots set slightly inboard of the glass edge, so the panel swings out and partially back. Pivot doors are the most cost-effective way to close a shower opening, need swing clearance outside the enclosure, and suit openings from roughly 600–1000mm. They are the workhorse of volume retail and rental programmes, and our range includes pivot doors for baths as well as showers.
MECHANISM 02
Sliding shower doors
Two or more panels slide on tracks or rollers, needing no swing clearance at all. Sliding doors suit wider openings (typically 1000–1700mm, with bypass designs serving up to 60-inch openings), make the most of tight bathrooms, and are the most popular configuration in the markets we export to. Hardware quality decides everything here: our sliding systems use stainless steel or engineered polymer rollers on anodised aluminium tracks, with anti-derailment design, and selected frameless models are available with soft-close dampers that pull the door gently into its closed position.
MECHANISM 03
Hinged shower doors
The door swings on butt or pivot hinges like a room door, giving the widest clear opening and the cleanest look, especially in frameless form with 8mm glass. Hinged doors need swing clearance and put load on the wall fixing, so the glass is usually thicker and the hardware heavier. They are the premium choice for design-led residential and hospitality projects.
MECHANISM 04
Bifold shower doors
Panels fold inwards or outwards on a top track, combining the space efficiency of a slider with a surprisingly wide entry. Bifold doors are the standard answer for small bathrooms, en-suites and cloakrooms where there is neither swing clearance nor room for a wide slider — one of the fastest-growing search segments in this category.
Each configuration can be supplied as a standard model or adapted through our OEM/ODM programme, so buyers can build a coherent range across all four mechanisms from a single supplier.

How to Choose the Right Shower Door for Your Market

Buyers building a shower door range for a new market often ask which mechanisms to lead with. The answer should follow three variables: the bathroom sizes common in your market, the installation skill of your channel, and your price positioning.

COMPACT URBAN
Compact bathrooms & renovation channels
Bifold doors and single pivot doors in 700–900mm widths make the most of limited space, install with minimal adjustment and keep landed cost low. This combination is the safest starter range for price-sensitive markets and DIY retail.
MID-RANGE
Mid-range retail & apartment programmes
Two-panel sliding doors in 1100–1500mm widths with 6mm glass and anodised aluminium frames offer the best balance of price, appearance and durability. Knob-handle and standard-handle variants let you cover two price points with one glass spec.
PREMIUM
Premium residential & design-led hospitality
Frameless sliding doors with soft-close rollers, and frameless hinged doors in 8mm glass with minimal hardware, create the showroom impact that lifts an entire range. These carry the highest margin per unit and the most specification-driven demand.
REPLACEMENT
Replacement & after-sales market
Standard-size hinged and pivot doors in the most common legacy dimensions are a steady, under-served segment. If you serve installers and merchants, ask us for the dimension list of our existing tooling — many sizes can be supplied without new moulds.
We are happy to review your market's typical bathroom sizes and price positioning and recommend a starter range with realistic MOQs for each tier.

Glass, Hardware and Materials: What Goes into Our Shower Doors

Because a shower door is a moving, wet-area safety product, both the glass and the hardware have to be specified for daily use — and the hardware is where most quality complaints in this category actually originate.

Tempered safety glass
We offer 5mm and 6mm tempered glass for framed doors, and 8mm for frameless sliding and hinged doors. All glass is thermally toughened and tested to EN 12150, which governs fragmentation behaviour — how the glass breaks and whether it breaks into small, blunt-edged particles rather than dangerous shards. Easy-clean hydrophobic coating is available as an option; it reduces limescale bonding and is one of the most requested features in retail channels. Tinted (grey, bronze) and patterned glass are available for privacy-led designs, and we can supply test reports and glass specification sheets on request.
Roller systems and tracks
Sliding doors live or die by their rollers. We use stainless steel or engineered polymer rollers with sealed bearings on anodised aluminium tracks, with anti-derailment geometry so the door cannot jump the track in daily use. Soft-close damping is available on selected frameless models — it stops the slam, protects the glass edge and has become a strong selling point in upmarket retail.
Hinges and pivots
Hinged doors use solid brass or stainless steel hinges rated for the glass weight, with wall fixings designed for tiled surfaces. Pivot assemblies use adjustable nylon or stainless pivots that tolerate minor out-of-square walls — a small detail that noticeably reduces installer complaints.
Frames, profiles and seals
Framed models use extruded aluminium profiles with anodised or powder-coated finishes — polished chrome, matt black, brushed silver and white as standard, custom colours at OEM stage. Magnetic or flexible PVC seals run along the meeting stiles and the bottom rail to control splash, and clear seal replacement is designed to be a user-serviceable operation, which reduces your after-sales workload.
Optional upgrades that can be specified at the OEM stage include low-iron ultra-clear glass, nanocoated easy-clean treatment, heat-soak testing for reduced spontaneous breakage risk, custom handle designs and branded packaging.

Complete Solutions by Application: Retail, Renovation and Hospitality

Our shower doors are produced for three main channels, and each defines "good" differently.

CHANNEL 01
Retail and DIY chains
The priority is straightforward installation, forgiving tolerances and packaging that survives palletised distribution. Framed pivot and sliding doors in standard widths, with pre-assembled hardware kits, clear instructions and retail-ready cartons, are the core of this channel. We supply shelf-ready packaging and product photography assets so your catalogue goes live faster.
CHANNEL 02
Renovation contractors and merchants
Here the requirement is breadth of sizes against a controlled SKU count. Sliding and bifold doors across three or four width bands cover most renovation openings; our existing tooling list lets you check which sizes need no new mould before you commit.
CHANNEL 03
Hospitality and property development
Hotels, serviced apartments and student accommodation need repetition: dozens or hundreds of identical doors with consistent hardware action and finish, delivered in phase with the programme. Sliding doors with soft-close are the usual specification — quiet operation matters in hospitality — with 6mm or 8mm glass, easy-clean coating and hardware in a single finish across the property.
Across all three channels the underlying requirement is the same: a shower door manufacturer that can repeat the same product to the same tolerance, ship it on time, and respond quickly when a project timeline shifts. That reliability — not the lowest quote — is what keeps accounts for years.

Our Quality Control and Production Workflow

Consistency in door products comes from catching problems early — before glass is tempered, before hardware is assembled, before a container is loaded.

1
Incoming material inspection. Float glass, aluminium billet, rollers, hinges and seals are inspected on arrival for thickness tolerance, surface defects, finish and dimensional accuracy. Rejected material never enters the line.
2
Cutting, edging and drilling. Glass is cut to the ordered dimension, then flat-polished and drilled on CNC lines. Hole position and edge polish quality are checked at this stage because both directly affect how the door hangs and how hardware seats.
3
Tempering. Panels are heated and rapidly cooled in the tempering furnace to develop surface compressive stress. Each batch is checked for flatness and fragmentation behaviour against EN 12150. Flatness matters more for doors than for fixed panels — a warped door will not seal or slide smoothly.
4
Hardware assembly and cycle testing. Rollers, hinges, handles and seals are fitted, and door action is tested through repeated open/close cycles — smooth travel, correct self-closing behaviour on soft-close models, magnetic seal alignment.
5
Pre-shipment inspection. Before loading we check quantity, dimensions, finish, hardware completeness, seal integrity and packaging. Photo records are kept for every shipment so any claim can be traced to a batch, and third-party inspection (SGS, BV, TÜV or a nominated agent) can be arranged at the buyer's request.
This staged approach is what allows us to run OEM/ODM projects with custom hardware or glass patterns without sacrificing the dimensional consistency wholesalers rely on for repeat ordering.

Wholesale Pricing, MOQ and Shipping for Bulk Buyers

As a factory-direct shower door supplier, we work on wholesale and project pricing rather than single-unit retail pricing, and we quote against the actual specification rather than publishing a misleading headline number.

Minimum order quantity
Our standard MOQ is 20–30 units per model for stocked configurations. Mixed-model orders can be combined to reach the container volume — the usual starting point for new distributors. Custom sizes, custom glass and private moulds carry a higher MOQ, confirmed at quotation stage.
Standard production lead time
25–30 days after deposit and drawing confirmation for standard products. OEM/ODM orders with new moulds or custom glass processing may need additional time, which we state upfront rather than revise later.
FOB shipment from Ningbo or Shanghai
Both ports are within easy reach of our Hangzhou factory, giving flexible sailing schedules and competitive freight. We can also quote CIF or DDP depending on destination and buyer preference.
Sample units
Pre-production samples are available so your team can verify glass quality, roller action and finish before committing. Sample cost is typically credited against the bulk order.
Container loading and packaging
Doors are packed with corner protectors, foam interleaving, edge guards and reinforced cartons sized to maximise container utilisation. We provide loading plans with unit counts per 20GP and 40HQ so you can calculate landed cost per unit accurately.
Because pricing depends on glass thickness, frame finish, size, hardware specification and order volume, we ask for your target market, typical dimensions and estimated annual volume so we can return an accurate, itemised wholesale quotation rather than a generic price list.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Shower Doors

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for wholesale shower doors?
Our standard MOQ is 20–30 units per model for stocked configurations. Mixed models can be combined to fill a container, which is the usual starting point for new distributors. Custom dimensions, custom glass and private-label projects carry a higher MOQ, confirmed at quotation stage.
Can you manufacture custom sizes and OEM branding?
Yes. Our OEM/ODM team can adapt standard models or produce to your drawings — custom widths and heights, custom hardware finishes, custom glass patterns, logo etching and branded packaging. We can also develop a private-label range with exclusive designs for your market.
Which opening mechanism should we lead with for our market?
It depends on bathroom sizes, installer skill and price positioning. Pivot and bifold doors cover compact bathrooms and DIY channels; two-panel sliding doors are the safest volume seller for mid-range retail; frameless sliding with soft-close and frameless hinged doors serve premium and specification-led segments. Send us your market profile and we will recommend a starter range.
What glass thickness and safety standards do your shower doors meet?
We offer 5mm and 6mm tempered safety glass for framed doors and 8mm for frameless models, manufactured to comply with EN 12150. Our shower products are produced to comply with EN 14428:2015+A1:2018, with CE marking documentation available for European buyers and ANSI Z97.1 / AS/NZS 2208 alignment available for other markets on request.
What is a soft-close shower door and is it worth specifying?
A soft-close door uses a damping mechanism in the roller assembly that takes over in the last few centimetres of travel and eases the door into its closed position. It prevents slamming, protects the glass edge and seals, and is one of the most requested features in upmarket retail. It is available on selected frameless sliding models in our range and can be specified at OEM stage.
How do I measure for a shower door?
Measure the width of the opening at the top, middle and bottom of the tray or tiled upstand — walls are rarely perfectly square, so the smallest measurement governs. Check the height from the tray rim to the top fixing position, and confirm which side the door should open based on fixtures and swing clearance. If you are unsure between two sizes, contact us with the measurements and we will recommend the correct model.
How long does delivery take?
Standard products are produced and shipped within 25–30 days after deposit and confirmation. Transit time depends on destination — typically 25–35 days to Europe, 20–30 days to North America, and 7–15 days to Australia and New Zealand. OEM/ODM orders with new tooling require additional lead time, stated at quotation.
Do you provide samples before a bulk order?
Yes, pre-production samples are available so your team can verify glass quality, hardware operation and finish. Sample cost is normally credited against the bulk order.
What after-sales support do you offer?
We provide one-on-one account management, spare parts support (rollers, hinges and seals are all orderable separately), and remote installation guidance by video call. Products carry a stated warranty period confirmed at order, and we respond to after-sales issues within 24 hours on business days.
Can you supply the whole shower unit, not just the door?
Yes. Beyond shower doors we manufacture shower enclosures, shower cabins, walk-in shower screens, bathtubs, shower panels, LED mirrors and bathroom accessories. Many of our distributors use us as a one-stop bathroom supplier to consolidate containers and reduce supplier management overhead.
